Why Owner-Operators Choose Expert Dispatch
Running your own truck is hard enough without spending hours on load boards, haggling with brokers, and chasing paperwork. A truck dispatch service handles all of that for you — finding freight, negotiating rates, coordinating pickups and deliveries, and managing rate confirmations — so you can focus on what actually makes money: driving. According to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, trucking moves over 72% of all freight tonnage in the U.S. The difference between a good dispatcher and doing it yourself is typically $0.30–$0.50 more per mile on every load. Over a month, that adds up to thousands of dollars you'd otherwise leave on the table. Check our dispatch services to see what we cover for each equipment type.
At Truck Dispatch Experts, we assign you a dedicated dispatcher who specializes in your equipment — whether that's dry van, reefer, flatbed, or hotshot. They learn your preferred lanes, your home time schedule, and your rate floor. No rotating call centers. No generic load suggestions. All of our carriers maintain active operating authority through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Our pricing starts at 6% per load with no setup fees and no contracts, because we believe in earning your business every week through results.
We also provide free trucking calculators so you can make smarter decisions on every load, plus in-depth owner-operator resources covering everything from IFTA filing to rate negotiation. Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our truck dispatch services.
What does a truck dispatcher do?
A truck dispatcher finds and books freight loads for owner-operators and carriers. We search load boards, negotiate rates with brokers and shippers, handle rate confirmations and paperwork, coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, and ensure you're always loaded with the highest-paying freight available for your equipment type and preferred lanes.
How much do your dispatch services cost?
Semi truck dispatch is 6% of gross load revenue per load or $250/week flat rate. Box truck and hotshot dispatch is 8% per load or $350/week flat rate. Fleet pricing (3+ trucks) is available at custom volume rates. There are no setup fees, no hidden charges, and no long-term contracts. You can switch between percentage and flat rate anytime.
What equipment types do you dispatch?
We dispatch all major equipment types including dry van, reefer (refrigerated), flatbed, step deck, power only, hotshot, box truck, and heavy haul/RGN. Each equipment type has a dedicated dispatcher who specializes in finding the best freight for that trailer type.
Do I need my own MC authority to use your services?
Yes, you need an active MC (Motor Carrier) authority to work with us. If you're in the process of setting up your authority, we can help guide you through the steps and be ready to start dispatching as soon as your authority is active.
How quickly can I get started?
Most carriers are set up and receiving load offers within 24 hours of signing up. We'll need your MC authority number, insurance certificate, equipment details, and preferred lanes. Once we have your information, your dedicated dispatcher begins searching for loads immediately.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No. We operate without long-term contracts. We believe in earning your business every week through results, not locking you in. You can cancel at any time with no penalties or fees.
What areas do you cover?
We dispatch loads across all 48 contiguous United States. Whether you prefer regional routes, OTR (over-the-road), or dedicated lanes, we find freight that matches your preferred operating areas and gets you home on time.
How do you find loads and negotiate rates?
We use a combination of major load boards (DAT, Truckstop), direct broker relationships built over years in the industry, and shipper contacts. Our dispatchers negotiate aggressively on your behalf to secure the highest possible rates, typically $2.50-$5.50+ per mile depending on equipment and lane.
Can you help with paperwork and billing?
Yes. We handle rate confirmations, ensure all load details are accurate before you accept, coordinate with brokers on any issues during transit, and can assist with invoicing and factoring company communications. Our goal is to minimize your administrative burden so you can focus on driving.
What makes Truck Dispatch Experts different from other dispatch companies?
Three things set us apart: dedicated dispatchers (not rotating staff), equipment-specific expertise (your dispatcher specializes in your trailer type), and transparent pricing with no contracts. We focus on building long-term relationships by delivering high-paying loads and reliable service.
Ready to Maximize Your Revenue?
No contracts, no hidden fees, no setup costs. See how our dedicated dispatchers can help you find better loads and earn more per mile.
